School: Lancaster (Pennsylvania/PA)
Christopher Gumpf (b. 1761) worked as a gunsmith from 1791 through 1834 in Lancaster Boro. He built fine flintlocks in the classic Lancaster form, and also made contract rifles for the government in 1794.
